Hi everyone,

I'd like to thank FTS for inviting me over to this corner of the PCA Register. Some of you may already know me or have heard of my home wrecking reputation in the NY Tri-State area. My specialty is event planning and photography. My frequent Porsche events over the years have been responsible for more than a few marital arguments and one rumored divorce proceeding (thus the home wrecker moniker).

Full disclosure, I'm not a GT3 owner (yet) but have a 2008 Cayman S. I've been a big fan of the GT3 since the 997.1 days and have spent an inordinate amount of time absorbing all the details I can of this car.

I will, however, take full credit for pushing FTS over the edge and into GT3 ownership with some photos I took last fall of a new 997.2 GT3 (see avatar) that a friend of mine, bsavino, just picked up. :D

I look forward to learning more and interacting with all of you in the future. :-8

-Pete

Pete, welcome to our world, so glad you joined; our portal is for all PCA members, so GT car or not, all welcome.

You are right, you were the very last drop pushing me over the edge, and man am I glad :D And I do have bad news for you: your reputation is preceeding you. My wife is still complaining about the GT3 and swears never to sit in it for any occasion. Trust me, I have my plans to return the favor ;)

Greetings,

New member here. Thanks guys for putting this Registry together.

Just took delivery on my GT-3 in mid March. What a machine. Love the German engineering. Thought my 2009 C4S was a great car!

FTS, regarding your wife getting in your car. You should have let her sit in it before you bought it. Let her get used to the seats. I brought my wife to the dealership to see how she like the shape and feel of the seats before I bought it. Although, already had a deposit on it. She liked the snug feel around her. It's all about the comfort level.

Hey Vin,

Congratulations..... Awesome car man....!! Best of luck.

You've come to the right place to learn about this car. These guys are really dialed in, and though this place is in it's infancy, I know that this team is going to really raise the bar.

I look forward to seeing you out there.

And you already have a roll bar and harnesses? :-DD

I agree with your advice about FTS's wife. Having met her recently I can tell you she's beautiful and intelligent. It should be easy to convince her that the GT3 bucket seats are far more comfortable than the living room couch she wants :ROFL!:

Well if you knew her... She is totally against event the idea of the GT3, tracking and other time wasting activities. But that is why we get along so well, some excitement in our lives is welcome :)

Oh man, please don't bring the idea of the couch, I am in the dog house already :-)))

My son and I went to the NY Auto Show yesterday, rented a mid-size car for the drive. On our way back, which was a 6-hr drive under heavy rain, my son started complaining about the seats of the rental. He said "we should have taken the GT3, the seats are so much more comfortable," which I cannot disagree :) However, what was more telling about his comment was he did not say the Bimmer, which has 14-way "everything adjustable" seats :D I hate them btw, never can get comfortable in it, short of long drives.

Welcome TwentySix!!!

Frankly, we hope we can attract more girls over to the Register, and not for the usual-suspected reasons ;) However, There are many women racing both amateur and professionally and many more driving GTs, we want the Register to be relevant to them as well. So, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for joining.
