LOLOL, you are so right :)

Pete should be able to check the part numbers for us comparing the RS38 and 40 clutches, see if it different. I'll send him an email, but I know he is off to the track next three days.

Based on my car with 11k on the odo and fluid and cylinder looking NASTY, I would say heavy tracking probably builds heat and breaks down the fluid and/or seals.

Every 5000 miles? Less?? Whenever brakes are bled? Great question and not sure what the best answer would be?

Checked PET this morning and 4.0 is not yet listed. The 4.0 is a different motor/crankshaft so I would not immediately think it will interchange directly with a 3.8. It might but I think I would be surprised if so, sorry!

Let me reiterate, my 3RS disk and pressure plate with 11k miles, mostly track, looked just fine. Peter says he is gentle with clutch/shifts so lets check the actuation bits first.
