Clear Bra

My car came with clear bra on it (It looks like Ventureshield)

My old car had 3M on it, with 3M adhesive remover I could just wipe off anything and on I went

The new car bra has lots of rubber ball marks......good......bad is they will not come off. Tried 3M adhesive remover and it scratches the bra and leaves a faint black mark

I am leaning towards having the front re-wrapped in 3M......any ideas?

Re: Clear Bra

Have you tried cleaning it with Plexus, in a blue can. Same thing you would use to clean motorcycle plastic?

That is what I use on my clear bra and it removes the black streaks of speed.

Hope that helps

I have been telling anyone who would listen, for years, that Venture shield sucks (at the expense of many personal attacks). It is a lower cost, higher margin product touted by self serving Dealers and (Barnum and Bailey) promotors to the "lambs". Requires little skill to install and, as you noted, is not really repairable. $3800 for Venture shield "installations"... (give me a break)... and cash if you please!!

It is great to see this website where the "shills" and their minions are prohibited.

Stick with 3M!

Your post speaks volumes.

http://www.autosupershield.com/ 15 minutes from my house.
They originall quoted to do my entire car and use 3M. I'm going there this weekend to get my windshield redone.

C'mooooon!

Just kidding :pals:

Ask premier what they put on your car if they wrapped it.
Ventureshield and XPEL don't seem like the solution. At least not for white cars..

So is 3M the only way to go then? So many to choose from all claiming they are the best.

i think your car has venture as well as it's most likely wrapped by premier.

I've got to say that I really like the Xpel product - I've had it on two cars. There's a couple of things that Premier market that help keep things looking pretty good - check out this link, the stuff works (expensive tho') - http://premiermobilegroup.com/pf1_products.shtml

Lewis, I drove my black series all the way out to canton for Derek to redo the entire car with a new xpel product that just came out

Re: Clear Bra

Mike, can't wait to see the Merc with the new wrap! Did you do the whole car this time?

Xpel's top of the line product is unbelievable. At the concours this weekend, the judge's didn't believe that the car was wrapped - its that good.

Re: Clear Bra

I didn't do the whole car but I did do the entire wheel arches and rocker panels

His first RS has 3M I am pretty sure

youcan usually tell if it is 3m......the piece will not fit the whole hood

the clear on Giesha is F$&cked........scratched everywhere......but who cares it is there for protection only

When I quit spending money on tires / brake pads / track time I will have the front re-wrapped in 3M

Honestly.....the wrap is there to do it's job, protect paint

I don't care how it looks. Wasting money on new wrap takes away from tires, brakes, diesel for reters truck, beers, cigars

All things more important than plastic film
