Re: Smoothness
So true.
I learned so much from wet handling practice at a specially designed track in Belgium. One part of it is so slippery that if you even THINK about steering, you slide sideways. It...

Re: How To Brake?
NickW, could you comment on the difference between driving karts and cars. It seems that a lot of your racing experience is in karts, but in limited experience with serious karts I found them to be...

Re: How To Brake?
Wow, what a fun looking track with some challenging turns and lots of elevation change. Too bad it's so far from CA!
IMHO the guy lost it primarily because of the brow he was going with too much...

Re: How To Brake?
You bring up a very important point which I often discuss with track newbies. I usually hear them excitedly exclaim that they were driving on the limit. I point out that "the limit" isn't a fixed...

Re: How To Brake?
I think this is a truly excellent question!
The point of my previous post, which I didn't manage to state very clearly, is as follows: the car being a dynamic system of the spring/mass/damper...

Re: How To Brake?
Here is a theory:
I've recently perused a PDF about the physics of racing, and while it gets a little too involved in the equations for my (MIT educated) brain, it does have some interesting...

Trust me, Sabine has a number interesting attributes - ahem! :D
Not the least of which is her rauccus sense of humor. She's very entertaining to be around, and the conversation is by no means all...

Re: 996 or 997
I second that, great to see someone actually driving a CGT the way it was meant to instead of just polishing it!

Re: How To Brake?

Re: You Are a Track Nut, if...
:-)))
Howdy, great to have a dedicated GT car forum!
I'm not sure how best to explain the Nürburg Ring to track nuts who haven't been there - yet. Maybe like this, if regular track driving is...
