Default Psm/tc

This has been discuss, I know. But...

It came on as a discussion during both the TechTactics and latest instructor refresher course. What Pete Tremper shared with us was that he was told by Porsche instructors and was demonstrated that turning off PSM and/or TC is completely unnecessary is the car is driven smoothly. According to Pete, even though with all the nannies on, these guys will still drive to the limit to scare the heck out of you. And that the nannies still come back on as soon as ABS is engaged.

Now, I have to admit my experience has been to the contrary thus far, but I am not yet that smooth with the GT3 just yet. And I never turned off the nannies with the Cayman, and I'd like to think I put on some decent driving in that car. Add to that I would take Pete's word any day of the the week and twice, especially, on Sundays.

So, do you think perfect smoothness can over come the nannies, while delivering the performance? Or high-performance driving and the nannies are mutually exclusive?
