I have been running the R6 on my 2011 RS. I run the 325/30/ZR-19, rear and the 235/35/ZR-19 for the front. I checked with Hoosier on the 245’s and they said they have no plans to make them through 2012. They said they do have a 265/35-ZR19 that may work. Tread width on the 265 is 9.6” vs. 9.25” on the 235’s. Overall diameter is 26.1” on the 265 vs. 25.6” on the 235’s.
The stock 245/35-19 sport cups that come on the RS are 25.8” overall diameter and have a 9.3” tread width as a comparison. My car has been center balanced and lowered to the EURO ride height. Is there anyone out there running a Hoosier R6 265/35-19 on the front of their 2010-11 GT3-RS? If so do you have any tire rub or any other comments or feedback you could offer? I am running this on Rennlist too, so comment where ever is easiest. Thanks everyone |

Honestly? Your car understeers like a pig, you just don't know it yet. We run the 255s (on 18s) on a GT3 club racer and the difference between those & the 235s is just silly. The car stops way better and turns in right now. Can't tell you if you will have a rubbing problem, but my advice is to find a way to get them in there.

I do hope the 265s fit under the RS nose, but as Larry stated, they will make a noticeable difference. All that said, I could not even fit 255/30/19 on my regular 3er

Pete had a great response to this on rennlist. Hey pete can you throw that same response here or i can copy and paste. Whatever is easier.
I have ran the 245/18 in the front but got a little rubbing. When I get my car home I plan on looking into pete's set up. 265/19 up front, with some modifications |

I have been running 245/35 x 18 Hoosier R6 on front for several years now. No issues except for scraping the splitter at the bottom of the Corkscrew. You say Hoosier is not going to make them anymore?

I was looking for the 245 in the 19 inch. The next size is 265 and you have to modify the fender wells.

255/18 front and 335/18 rear. R6 hot weather, A6 cold weather. All the grip you need on a 3.8RS TT/DE car.
