As for the jack, I use regular $100 small, light jack sold at every store, but my car is not as low as yours most likely, and it fits with only 5-10 mm clearance. I would imagine you may need to use some wood pieces to put the car one first, or race pads to roll onto first.

On the question of "what did I miss?" Just because you don't mention it:
  • making sure the center lock gears are flush with the wheel center gears.
  • Once you torque the wheels while they are in the air, for tracking purposes, you should do the follow up: bring the car onto the floor, slightly loosen the nut, then retorque to spec.
