Default Can Can GT3 "respond" similarly with R6s and NT01s?

Use both tires on a 996-GT3. My question is not whether I can achieve similar grip levels, but whether I can get these tires to behave similarly (e.g., feel, reaction/transition speed, etc) but at different grip levels? Basically, I love the feedback, sharpness, limited roll of my car with R6s. Note, I have triple adj Motons. I got my car setup decently for R6s and I occassionally like to use the NT01s. However, because of the softer sidewalls (presumably) I can't get the car to react as quick as I would like even when I adjust high speed and low speed compression. I also really can't stand the sensation of "roll" with the NT01s vs the R6s. Is the answer that I need to change canister pressures and swaybars as well or is the answer that I will never achieve the same "feel" and precise reaction between the two tires? Just want to know if I'm wasting my time.

Ramon

I went from R6 to RA1.

To me they drive exactly the same just faster. Mostly the front end grip through the turn allows you higher gears in tighter corners. The only adjustment I made is less camber in the rear for better tire wear. Shocks always make a difference, if you change, you wuill have to go through playing with the settings again.

Picture driving with corder Hoosiers compared to them being in their prime. Same difference.

Are you telling me that your car "behaves" (responds directionally) the same during sections like the esses at VIR regardless if you are on R6 or RA1s?

Thx for the input.

BTW, I was the guy that came by at David Murry to ask you about your Traqmate settings and the issues of it not recording every session. You may not recall....

Having driven my son's 951 on both tires, I would say no. The R6 sidewall is stiffer so it works at a lower slip angle than the Nitto, and no amount of suspension twiddling will fix that. Can you get it close in terms of grip? I would say yes, but only within a second or 2, else all of the club racers would be running Nittos instead of R6s.

This is what I needed to know. So I can just stop the fiddling around then...

Yes, it handle the same, but because they are so much lower (IMHO more then 2 seconds) you might be able to compansate with some fiddling ;-)
I do recall, orry I could not help you. I hate Traqmate..It is an ongoing experiment and frustration..

Not quite, Camber should be different rear and with tripple adj you are NEVER done fiddling ;-) I'll never buy fully adjustable shocks again, drove me crazy LOL.

I'll stop by again at the next David Murry event in Sept at VIR and complain

Funny about the adjustable shocks. I always have this urge to try something else to see if it makes things better in some way.

Well, I guess I know really have to just pick one tire and stick with it instead of swapping rims/tires.

thx to all for the input.
